June Classes with Casanova (Limited Series)
Charlotte, NC! Let's continue pushing our dance to the next level, and who better with than Mr. Golden Standard himself, Casanova! Jovan, aka DJ Casanova will be joining us in Charlotte for the month of June and picking up where Phillyp wraps up. Just as with Phillyp's May series, this series will be progressive and offering two different tracks to accommodate all levels.
If you are new to kiz, no worries! We will continue to offer a beginner friendly track (Foundations) to cover the foundations of the dance and have you ready to social dance by the end of the session.
For those with some experience, we will once again offer an Improvers (intermediate +) course. In this class we will be touching on some intermediate moves and concepts, to help take your dance to the next level.
To take the Improvers class:
- You must have 6 months cumulative urban kiz experience OR have taken Phillyp's Foundations course in May
- Know your basic movements
- Must take the beginner track (drilling Foundations is a must for ALL levels)
Class Schedule:
Tuesdays: Urban kiz
Urban Kiz Improvers (intermediate +): 7:00 - 8:00pm EST
Urban Kiz Foundations (beginner friendly): 8:00 - 9:00pm EST
Practica / Mini Social (all levels): 9:00 - 11:00pm EST
Thursdays: Training Lab
Training Lab will focus on various styles within the Kizomba Umbrella (kizomba, urban kiz, tarraxinha, tarraxo, konpa, etc.). In this series, we will focus on cleaning up technique & introducing new movements during the first hour. In the second hour, we will have a different speciality workshop every week.
Open Level - must have completed May's Foundations class OR have at least 6 months cumulative experience.
